WHY GO
WHERE TO STAY
On its own island, COMO Parrot Cay is a 1,000-acre paradise with top-notch service, modern, airy villas, Shambhala spa that offers holistic treatments that channel Indonesian and Balinese wellbeing secrets, al-fresco Mediterranean, Caribbean and healthy dining options. COMO is also often the place to catch a glimpse of celebrities and A-listers like Sophia Vergara, Donna Karan and Cara Delevingne. Parrot Cay is all about bettering your body, mind and suntan, but if you get restless, there's a lengthy list of activities available: from walking or biking along the island’s local plantation trails, exploring untouched parts of the island by paddleboard or venturing to the nearby island of North Caicos - one of Marley’s favorite day trips.
WHAT WE LOVED
The spa. One can't talk about COMO Parrot Cay without mentioning its signature Shambhala Retreat Spa—a calming space that offers holistic, Asian-inspired treatments such as Ayurvedic therapy, bodywork, massages and Pilates—to foster both physical and mental well-being. Skylark's Marley Gibbons said the spa, "stimulates all of your senses - from the signature scent I still can’t get enough of, to the feeling of a thousand hands kneading my muscles during the massage and the stunning views from the treatment room - it’s simply sublime.” Highlights include—the COMO Shambhala Massage, a nurturing 90-minute treatment using blended essential oils, the COMO Shambhala Sun Soother to cool the body with holistic ingredients such as blood orange and aloe vera and the 60-minute foot reflexology.
Tip: Skylark recommends booking your spa appointment ahead of time as treatments are very popular and time slots fill up fast!
THE MOMENT
Marley: "The view post-massage is a good example of the ethos that defines the property: untamed trees, unbridled bramble, a wild green landscape that's laced with shocking turquoise blue channels that protect and surround the private island. It's untamed beauty, perfectly whole."
